The DeeJays for Boogie Bash 2013 include:
I’m happy to once again have the opportunity to play some great music for “Mid-Ohio Boogie Bash”, one of my favorite events.
I’ve been fortunate to DJ for the “Michigan Dance Classic” for 13 years, The “Mid-USA Jack & Jill” for 9 years along with DJing at “Floorplay” in Florida, “Steel Boogie” in Pennsylvania and various other events in Michigan and Ohio. I look forward to making you get up on the dance floor at “Mid-Ohio Boogie Bash.”
Lou comes to us from Ohio’s North Coast Jitterbug Connection in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He has been a DJ since 1998 and is Chairman of ONCJC’s Music Committee.
His love of dancing developed into an interest and love of music and knowing the importance of choosing just the right beat for each style of dance. He listens very carefully to each and every song before it goes on his playlist.
Lou is a Charter member of ONCJC and a member of the ABA Hall of Fame. He is dedicated to both of these organizations and is thrilled to have been invited to be a part of the “Mid-Ohio Boogie Bash” weekend!
Lou has been a registered Land Surveyor since 1977 and opened the doors of Chermak Surveying in 1981. He has been married to Kap since 1968 and likes to inform people that their first date was on her 16th (1963) birthday. They have 5 grown children, 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and they can dance circles around all of them! Dancing keeps them young and in shape! Being a DJ is an interest that is dear to his heart, and he hopes everyone enjoys dancing to his music choices!
During a fateful trip to North Myrtle Beach in 1995, Jerry fell in love with Beach Music and the Carolina Shag. He came home and founded the Steel City Boogie Club and has been studying and teaching the Shag ever since.
Jerry is a professional Dee Jay (14 years) and host’s “Fountain Room Fridays” at a local Elks Club every week. Open to the public, he plays great blues, R&B, oldies, beach, ballads and more...great music for all types of swing...east & west coast...shag, jitterbug, and cha cha.
He also plays at other regular dance venues and for private parties throughout the Pittsburgh area.
Freddy will be playing the Late Night West Coast Swing Session Saturday from 11 pm to 1 pm.
This is one dance weekend you don’t want to miss!
